The payment giant PayPal launched the crypto service for online merchants.

All PayPal merchants will allow their customers to spend cryptocurrencies. The supported cryptocurrencies are including Bitcoin, Bitcoincash, Ethereum and Litecoin. They will not charge any fee for the conversion from cryptocurrency to fiat, but the exchange rate may be lower than the market. Besides, only if you have enough cryptocurrency balance in your account, the cryptocurrency payment option will be enabled when you are ready to make the payment.
PayPal firstly showed its decision to step into crypto markets from October, 2020, announcing that they allow users to buy and hold cryptocurrencies on their platform. After their embrace of crypto, Bitcoin price was surged a lot.
Currently, it only provides the crypto service within the US and they are planning to expand the service out of the US in the year of 2021.
